Terms of Service

Please review these terms governing the use of the Xmasjollof holiday platform, vendor listing credit rules, and buyer interactions across Nigeria.

CRITICAL PLATFORM DISCLOSURE

Xmasjollof is a holiday directory and discovery portal, NOT the direct seller, manufacturer, caterer, or distributor of products listed by third-party merchants. Transactions, fulfillment, food preparation, and delivery are negotiated directly between individual shoppers and independent vendors.

1. The Vendor Credit System & Posting Rules

Xmasjollof operates a fair-use credit model to maintain high quality and prevent spam across the directory:

Welcome Allocation: Eligible new vendors receive an introductory bonus of 500 credits upon registration.
Listing Cost: Publishing a promotional deal deducts 250 credits from your vendor account upon submission.
Credit Purchases: Additional credits may be purchased via Paystack in tiers (500 credits for ₦2,000, 1,000 credits for ₦4,000). Purchased credits do not expire during the holiday season.
Featured Listings (₦5,000): Featured status pins the selected listing to top positions on homepage and category pages with a VIP badge for 30 calendar days.

2. Refund Policy for Rejected Listings

We operate a 100% credit-safe guarantee for our merchants:

Automatic Credit Restoration:

If your submitted deal is rejected by our moderation desk (due to blurry imagery, unrealistic discount claims, or missing details), the 250 credits deducted for that listing are automatically refunded to your balance. You can correct the issues and resubmit without incurring additional financial charges.

Note: Once a listing is approved and goes live on the marketplace, credit deductions are non-refundable as the promotional indexing service has been fulfilled.

3. Vendor Responsibilities & Accuracy

By publishing on Xmasjollof, merchants affirm and agree that:

All prices, discounts, and item descriptions are accurate, genuine, and honored in good faith.
Images uploaded accurately represent the merchandise, hamper contents, or culinary portions offered.
All prepared foods comply with local hygiene and food handling standards in Nigeria (NAFDAC).
WhatsApp phone numbers and websites provided belong directly to the authorized merchant business.
Any merchant reported for fraudulent bait-and-switch pricing or non-fulfillment will be permanently banned.

4. Shopper Guidelines & Limitation of Liability

Shoppers are advised to exercise standard due diligence when engaging vendors:

Always confirm total pricing including dispatch fees prior to making bank transfers.
Xmasjollof does not hold buyer escrow or guarantee third-party courier delivery times.
In no event shall Xmasjollof, its operators, or affiliates be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from direct merchant transactions.

5. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
